We will be providing our thought provoking music at the annual meeting of the medical association.  Association members heared us at Girl's Night Out and thought that we would be a great addition to their evening.  We look forward to working with the organization for the first time.

Care New England Wellness center will hosting their annual Women's Wellness Weekend at Camp Fuller. The weekend will focus on a time of relaxation. We will once again be kicking off the Friday evening gathering.

The 14th Annual URI Symposium on Gay Lesbian,Bisexual, Intersex, Queer and Questioning Issues, Kingston (MAP). This year's symposium which runs from March 26-29 is entitled "Connecting Communities: Looking Back, Moving Forward".  

We are pleased bo be performing once again for this event.  We will be sharing the stage with "Raging Grannies" . Following our mutual sets there will be a movie and discussion sponsored by PFlag entitled "Anyone and Everyone".  The evening will conclude with refreshments and social time.

Temple Habonim has invited WomanSpiritRising to perform at their congragational event. We will be joined by a band and a group of bell ringers. This eclectic mix of styles should produce a wonderful afternoon.

The Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance at Brown University is hosting a VDAY fundraising event to raise awarness of violence againgt women globally and "to make Providence the safest place on earth for women and girls".  VDAY is a movement that grew out of the Eve Ensler's play "The Vagina Monologue."

They have invited a variety of artists including singers, dancers and writers to the evening event. We will be among the guests. Come join us for this important event.

This year marks the 23rd presentation of Girl's' Night Out. This is also the sixth year that we have been invited to be among the participants in this joyful event. Come and join old and new friends. Other performers include storytellers Valerie Tutson, Carolyn Martino, Diane Postoian, Marilyn Meardon Meardon and Milbre Burch.

We anticipate singing at Bright Night once again.  This will be our fifth year.  We are privilaged to have been invited each year of Bright Night. Tentative information is that we will most likely be back at Grace Church and most likely performing at either 8 or 9 PM.  This is a wonderful family friendly evening and a great way to bring in the New Year.

We will be running a workshop with national high school students under the direction of the Leadership Institute summer program of Brown University.  We will lead music and discussion around feminism, leadership  and justice.  We will focus on how feminist principles are utilized in developing leadership skills.

WomanSpiritRising continues our commitment to the women transitioning out of the Adult Correctional Institution.  Our annual performance for these women has always been one of our more powerful evenings.  We wish to congratulate the women transitioning out and the women who have continue to serve as mentors for the women.
